Paralysis in a young Pekingese

March 29th, 2020

This sweet pup had sudden onset of pain and paralysis in both hind limbs. She could not stand without help and could only be walked with her hindquarters in a sling. The most likely diagnosis given her breed and presentation was intervertebral disk disease. The owner could not afford the recommended surgery and was looking for another treatment option. This little one received cold laser, dry needle acupuncture and electroacupuncture on her first visit. She was sent home with a Chinese herbal formula as well. Second visit was four days later.

Wonderful Wizard

July 16th, 2018

This handsome guy is a cancer patient with a heart base tumor diagnosed over 6 months ago. He had fluid in his chest, edema under his jaw and belly, low energy, and labored breathing. He gets regular acupuncture, Chinese herbs, supplements, a homemade diet and conventional Western medicines. Today he has no visible edema, his old energy is back, he goes for long walks and likes to run around the yard.

Advanced Acupuncture Techniques

Exhausted but exhilarated to report that I have just completed the Chi Institute Advanced Acupuncture Techniques course! I lovingly call it “acupuncture boot camp.” Thank you Chi for such an educational and enriching experience. I cannot wait to get back in the office and use what I have learned this week!
